The Audi A4 will start at £22,590 for the 1.8 petrol, rising to £29,680 for the 3.2 petrol. The 2.0-litre diesel lists at £23,940, while the 2.7 and 3.0-litre V6 oil burners come in at £28,440 and £30,290 respectively.

Built on the same platform as the new Jeep Grand Cherokee, the latest iteration of the SUV features a unibody structure rather than the body-on-frame setup of its predecessors. The German press kicked it off yesterday and now Reuters have got in on the act with their own sources apparently confirming talks between BMW and Hyundai over the joint development of a new range of engines.
