Mitsubishi Outlander plug-in hybrid ‘game-changer’ to cost same as diesel model
Tue, 01 Apr 2014Mitsubishi Mitsubishi UK has revealed it will sell its new Plug-In Hybrid Outlander EV for the SAME price it retails diesel versions of the Land Rover Freelander rival, rather than many thousands of pounds more – a move managing director Lance Bradley believes has the potential to "blow the market apart. "It could be a gamechanger," he told MSN Cars as the firm prepared to reveal the car’s price. "A car like this comes along once in a generation: this could be our Mazda MX-5, our Jaguar F-Type." Fifth Gear on TV – the Return
Tue, 23 Mar 2010Fifth Gear Returns to TV in April with a new format Fifth Gear was everyone’s second favourite car show on TV. And that second favourite label seemed to be its undoing when FIVE decided last year to ditch the show after it failed to make any impact on the ratings against everyone’s favourite car show on TV – Top Gear. But FIVE (channel five if we ditch the trendy CAPITALS) have had a change of heart, done a syndication deal or two for Fifth Gear and are putting together a new series (they’ve actually commissioned two of them) which should hit TV screens at the end of next month.
Toyota recalls Highlander and Lexus hybrids, IS and GS sedans
Wed, 04 Sep 2013Toyota announced two recalls on Wednesday that include 369,000 vehicles worldwide, 235,000 of which are in the United States. The hybrids have a problem with a transistor, while the 3.5-liter V6 is having problems with its variable valve timing control device. The first recall includes Highlander Hybrid models from 2006-2010 and the Lexus RX 400h from 2006-2008.
