GM shifts gears, will keep Opel

General Motors' board of directors has decided that it will keep the Opel business and restructure it, putting an end to plans to sell the European operations to auto supplier Magna International. GM said it expects the restructuring of Opel to cost $4.42 billion (3 million euros), which it says is lower than the costs associated with outside bids for the company. GM said it will soon present its restructuring plans for Opel to the German government and other governments in Europe.

Vauxhall Antara: Facelift and price cut

The facelifted Vauxhall Antara Hot on the heels of the 2011 Vauxhall Corsa facelift comes another Vauxhall facelift to graft the family nose on to the 2011 Vauxhall Antara. And it does look better for it. The front end of the Antara gets Vauxhall’s new grill with logo – just as the 2011 Corsa does – whilst the SE models sport a new set of fog lights.

The first picture of the new Mercedes E Class Estate has leaked out The new Mercedes E Class leaked and then launched earlier this year, and the E Class Coupe turned out to be a C Class Coupe in disguise. But it’s now clear that the next instalment of the E Class story – the Mercedes E Class Estate – will launch at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, and the first picture has leaked our way!
