Morgan celebrates 100 years – and a new model

But Morgan, that maker of anachronistic 1930s-style cars, is not only still going strong, it is celebrating its 100 year anniversary in 2009, and is now the only remaining British-owned car maker in existence (aside from the ‘Garden-Shed’ makers). Tesla plans to launch Nissan Leaf fighter in 2016

Tesla Motors will launch its smaller electric sedan in late 2016, with a range of at least 200 miles and a price point "half" of the flagship Model S, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said. Musk's timeline, range and price announcement is the most definitive data so far regarding the so-called "Gen III" vehicle. The current Model S starts at $62,400, meaning the Gen III car will start at about the same price as the Nissan Leaf SV and have triple the real-world range.

New carmaker Eterniti to debut its first car at Frankfurt auto show

It's not every day that a new car company jumps into the fray, and it's even rarer that the first model it builds is a super SUV. Enter Eterniti Motors, a startup luxury brand based in London. The company says it satisfies a demand for personalized luxury from wealthy car buyers, “particularly in major cities and global wealth centers.” Apparently Rolls-Royce, Bugatti, Bentley and Spyker just aren't filling that void.
