2014 Ram 1500, 1500 EcoDiesel tow ratings announced

Chrysler has announced the gasoline-powered 2014 Ram 1500 and 2014 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel tow ratings. The 305-hp Pentastar V6 can handle up to 7,450 lbs. Ram calls this performance “class-leading,” but there's a catch: If the consumer compares the base-level versions of the Ford F-150, GMC Sierra 1500 the Ram 1500 then it is true that the Ram 1500 edges out the competition.

Concept Car of the Week: Renault Altica (2006)

Back in 2006 Renault was still well into its design-leadership stride, if perhaps not for much longer. The Bonneville Jaguar XFR was piloted up Goodwood's Hillclimb by Wing Commander Andy Green There were two main highlights for Jaguar lovers at Goodwood – the first showing of the Goodwood Special XKR and the chance to see the Jaguar XFR that broke the Jaguar speed record at Bonneville last year (Jaguar XFR Bonneville Video). The Goodwood Special XKR is a one-off, Lime Green creation by Jaguar designed to show the harder side of the Jaguar XKR. It features 21″ wheels, the Lime Green paint job, bold graphics and tweaks to the XKR’s 5.0 litre V8 to give an extra 20 horses and a boost to the torque.
