Nearly half of male drivers admit to sleeping at the wheel

Nearly half of male drivers admit to having fallen asleep at the wheel, a survey has found. Road safety charity Brake and insurance company Direct Line found that 31% of all drivers admit to ‘head-nodding’ at the wheel – meaning they’ve fallen asleep while driving a car for between two and 30 seconds. 2013 UK automotive sales highest since 2007

The 10.8% increase makes the UK the best performing market in Europe, exceeding its forecast by posting its highest sales figures since 2007. Top of the charts once again is the Ford Fiesta, which sold almost 13,000 additional units than in 2012, with its stablemate, the Ford Focus, graduating to the runner-up spot to push the Vauxhall Corsa third.

2015 Subaru Outback previewed ahead of New York auto show

Subaru plans to unveil the production version of the 2015 Subaru Outback at the New York auto show later this month, hot on the heels of the debut of the 2015 Subaru Legacy. The Outback is scheduled to go on sale at the end of 2014. The sixth-generation Subaru Outback will feature exterior styling cues similar to those of the 2015 Legacy.
