New Jaguar XE teased

Sat, 17 May 2014

Jaguar reveal a teaser image of the new XE Jaguar’s new smaller car – effectively a replacement for the Mondeo-based X-Type – has been coming for what seems a very long time, but it was finally officially announced at the Geneva Motor Show in March. At the time, all we got was a front-end view of the new XE as Jaguar attempted to whet appetites, but now we get the first official teaser from Jaguar of their new baby saloon. Covered in a bizarre camouflage of add-on panels and white paint, the XE looks to have the proportions of the XF, just on a smaller scale.

Jaguar F-Type Coupe grabs a Super Bowl Spot

Sat, 09 Nov 2013

The Jaguar F-Type Coupe grabs a Super Bowl Spot The Jaguar F-Type Coupe is heading for a reveal at the Los Angeles and Tokyo Motor Shows this month, and Jaguar are already thinking big as they start to plot how to get the new F-Type Coupe in front of potential buyers. So they’ve grabbed a 30 second advert slot in next year’s televised Super Bowl in the US, which is guaranteed to get the new F-Type Coupe front and centre in potential buyers’ minds in the States. Playing on the predilection for Hollywood to use British actors as the villain, Jaguar’s F-Type Coupe campaign will have a ‘British Villians’ theme and pose the question: “Have you ever noticed how in Hollywood movies, all the villains are played by Brits?” Featuring ‘Renowned British Actors’ (yes, your guess is as good as ours) and launching the hashtag #GoodToBeBad , the new advert is being filmed by Brit Director Tom Hopper in London.

Aston Martin wants the Le Mans title

Tue, 27 Jan 2009

Aston Martin will challenge for the overall Le Mans Champion in 2009 Aston Martin won the overall title in 1959 – 50 years ago with the DBR1 driven by Caroll Shelby – and are aiming to bring the title back to the UK with the new car, which is based on the 2008 Charouz Racing System Lola, and powered by the same V12 engine seen in the title winning DBR9s of the last two years. The car will carry the famous Gulf Oil colours, and is being funded in partnership with Lola, Michelin, Koni and BBS. And this is a good time to pick to challenge for the title.
