BMW’s i3 electric city car has scored a four-star Euro NCAP safety rating in the latest round of crash testing by the European car safety body. Although the i3 recorded strong results in the adult and child occupant protection categories, it missed out on a maximum five-star score due to weaker showings in the pedestrian protection and safety assist classes. The new Range Rover Sport - expected to arrive in 2013 as a 2014 model – has been spied out testing ahead of a probable reveal at Geneva 2013. The 2013 Range Rover is almost upon us (it will officially arrive at the Paris Motor Show next month and we should have a reveal before), but what of its lively sibling, the Range Rover Sport? The Range Rover Sport is expected to arrive at Geneva 2013 and go on sale towards the end of 2013 – as a 2014 model – and it will be a very different animal to the current Range Rover Sport.

The annual Consumer Electronics Show kicks off tomorrow in Las Vegas, in the same massive convention center that held the SEMA show only a few months ago. Almost as many carmakers will come to CES as made the trek to SEMA, with seven major carmakers expected to have show stands and two big suppliers – Visteon and Delphi – showing their latest techno-stuff, too.
