Every year the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance names its Best in Show and this year a 1934 Packard 1108 Twelve Dietrich Convertible Victoria took the crown. The Packard Twelve is considered as one of the finest automobiles produced by Packard and the judges felt this example stood out, even in such illustrious company. LA Motor Show: Long-wheelbase Range Rover confirmed

A LONG-WHEELBASE Range Rover has been showcased at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Decked out in exclusive Autobiography Black specification, the LWB Range Rover has 7.3 inches more legroom for rear passengers, along with back seats that now recline by 17 degrees compared to the standard version’s eight degrees. It will be sold in the UK, but it’s expected that the main markets for the new ultra-high-end model will be the USA and China.

Local man solves roadworks problem with his own toll road

A TEMPORARY TOLL road made from rolled chippings has been opened in south-west England. Businessman Mike Watts decided to open the thoroughfare to bypass a closed section of the A431 between Bath and Bristol. The Kelston Road was shut in February following a landslip and officials say it will not be repaired until the end of the year.
