Stratospheric price for Volkswagen's 'future car'

IF YOU want tomorrow's car today, you're going to have to pay for it. Volkswagen has announced that the ultra-futuristic XL1 will sell in the UK for more than £98,000. The first XL1 was delivered to a German customer in May, with UK buyers now lined up to take a share of the 200 that are due to be built.

'Concept Cars by Bertone' 2014 Degler Calendar out now

‘Concept Cars by Bertone' is the theme of the 2014 Degler Calendar by automotive photographer Pitor Degler Jablonski, which showcases some of the most important and unique prototypes designed by the coachbuilder. Through his photography Jablonski celebrates car design icons such as Nuccio Bertone's own racecar, advanced concepts such as the Stratos Zero and Marcello Gandini's Lamborghinis as well as the recent designs of Mike Robinson, Bertone's current brand and design director. And that doesn't include the powertrain, of which there's a clever-clogs new supercharged V8. The new Range Rover heads up a trio of renewed Land Rovers – and it'll arrive in August 2009, a few weeks before the similarly refreshed Discovery 4 and Range Rover Sport.
