Designed to withstand higher RPM conditions, ACL Race Series Engine Bearings are available for many of the popular 4, 6 & 8 cylinder applications and feature:

    - High strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties

    - Hardened steel backs on all rod bearings to improve the support of the bearing lining and assist with bearing retention in the housing.

    - Increased crush for improved bearing retention

-Elimination of flash plating on the back of the bearings to improve heat transfer through the bearing sand to maximize the grip between the bearings and its housing.

-Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high rpm and to assist in the formation of hydrodynamic oil films.

    - 3/4 grooved Main Bearings to optimize bearing load carrying surface area and oil flow to the con-rod bearings.

    - Tight consistent wall tolerances to help you maintain consistent clearances.

    - Enlarged ID chamfers on bearing edges where required to accommodate large fillet radius on performance crankshafts.

Lexus LFA says goodbye on video

Mon, 03 Jun 2013

The Lexus LFA says goodbye in a tribute video The very last Lexus LFA was produced in December 2012, and the last LFA destined for Europe in March 2013, so now, with the LFA consigned to the annuls of Toyota’s car history, Lexus has decided they should pay tribute to their very special supercar. It took a decade to get the LFA from initial concept to production, and much changed in that time. But the end result was worth the wait, even if the price tag – north of £300k – made the LFA a car only for the properly wealthy petrolheads.

VW T-Roc concept (2014) first official pictures

Thu, 27 Feb 2014

By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 27 February 2014 23:01 This is the VW T-Roc, and you only need to take one look at the design sketches to see where that streetwise name has sprung up from. This chopped-roof, three-door crossover is part mini-Tiguan, part high-riding Scirocco coupe. Not so fast.

Lexus teases Frankfurt SUV concept (2013)

Wed, 20 Aug 2014

By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 20 August 2014 11:00 Lexus has released the first picture of what’s expected to be its new SUV concept car, bound for the Frankfurt motor show in September 2013. Clearly set to employ the sharp-creased design and huge ‘spindle grille’ cues from the current Lexus range – not to mention the LF-LC coupe concept – Lexus is nevertheless staying tight-lipped on details of its new model. We’ll see the car revealed completely in early September.
