Analysis: why GM is pulling Chevrolet out of Europe
Wed, 06 Nov 2013The news that Chevrolet is to leave the western European car market (while staying in eastern Europe and Russia) is not a huge surprise, but it provides an interesting contrast to the success of fellow Koreans, Hyundai and Kia. “Fellow Koreans?” you might say, “but isn’t Chevrolet American?” Yes and no. Mitsubishi Lancer
Tue, 14 Nov 2006The 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer will be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show. With styling already hinted at by the Concept-X and Concept Sportback of 2005, the illustration released by Mitsubishi remains largely faithful to these showcars. The trim of the Down-Road-Graphic modified only slightly; this now gives the front a six element graphic, and chrome is also used.
Volvo Concept Estate revealed ahead of Geneva
Thu, 27 Feb 2014The Volvo concept estate (pictured) debuts at Geneva We had the first glimpse of what we now know is the Volvo Concept Estate over the weekend when a Swedish raincoat manufacturer published a series of teaser photo sof the latestr Volvo Concept, and now Volvo has revealed it ahead of a Geneva debut. Just as the Volvo Concept Coupe was a modern interpretation of the icon Volvo P1800, the Concept estate is a reworking of the car the P1800 became in its final iteration – the Volvo P1800 ES. The P1800 ES was a Shooting Brake in the proper car sense – none of the modern interpretation where a Shooting Brake has become a four-door coupe estate – and the Concept estate is just the same – a two-door coupe with a stylish estate rear.
