Brand new set of KW V3 for sale that fits all Acura/Honda NSX models.  These are the best suspension coil overs you can unless you spend double for Moton or JRZ brands.  KW has a rare 7 post testing rig they bought from a Formula One team and they use it along with real world testing to develop their suspension.  It is also German TUV approved which means it meets stringent German safety and quality standards.  You must re-use your OEM top hats because this is part of the TUV requirements and keeps the ride nice as well.  These are known for their low spring rates and comfortable ride while increasing performance, handling, and road holding due to the advanced damper technology.  Stainless steel construction means it's durable enough for a lifetime of street environment use.  You can see on the last pic why the V3 are the best street coilovers, they are amazingly versatile for street and track use both.

You probably know what these are worth if you're looking for them, this is a limited time opportunity to get them at an unbeatable price.  Once they're gone that's it, they are usually $2,800.

Through extensive NSX specific high technology tuning, the Variant 3 suspension represents one of the most thoroughly developed and tested suspensions for the NSX.

Unusually compliant and comfortable on the street for such a high performance damper, the Variant 3 is perhaps the highest performance suspension system equally suited for the street as the race track.

The KW suspensions coilover for the Acura NSX enables the owner to lower their vehicle 20 to 50mm (.8 - 2.0") on the front axle and 25mm to 55mm (.9 - 2.1") on the rear axle. The coilover suspension retains enough travel to handle maximum load and dynamic loads during driving. Double adjustable rebound and compression damping allows a truly individual performance driving setup for those technically demanding drivers. Compressions damping adjustment is conducted in the low-speed range, while the high-speed set-up, so decisive for driving comfort, has been pre-set by KW engineers.

Important characteristics such as safety, quality and performance are all taken into consideration with each KW coilover design. Each vehicle application is specifically designed and engineered for a proper range of motion, min/max weight loads and min/max lowering. All these requirements are met while retaining its performance handling characteristics. Each KW coilover suspension is produced with unique stainless steel "Inox-line" technology. The stainless steel construction internally and externally provides long term durability and corrosion resistance from the elements

  • corner height adjustable (20-50mm front, 25-55mm rear)
  • separate compression (bottom mount adjustable) and rebound (top pin adjustable) dampening adjustment
  • stainless steel internal and external construction
  • spring rates - front: 350 lb/in, rear: 350 lb/in
  • German manufactured, TUV approved.
KW Variant 3 suspension utilizes the factory top mount with rubber bushings. Recommended to replace the factory rubber bushings if worn.

KW Variant 3 inox-line – Perfect Street Performance

State-of-the-art technology from motor sports for more performance on the road. The separate and independently adjustable rebound- and compression damping allows for an individual suspension setup for different uses and preferences. The unique patented system with its two-stage valves allows a rebound damping adjustment (comfort) and a compression adjustment (driving dynamics) in the low-speed range while the high-speed range which controls the driving safety, is fixed.

  • Damping technology with individually adjustable rebound- and compression technology
  • inox-line* stainless steel technology
  • Individually height adjustable
  • Adjustment parameters approved by the German Technical Control Board (TÃœV)
  • High-quality components for long durability
  • Infinitely variable rebound damping adjustment
  • 14-way adjustable compression damping
  • Unique, individually working damping force adjustment
  • Comprehensive documentation for easy use

Compression- and rebound adjustment

As far it is vehicle-specifically possible, the rebound damping is adjusted by a spindle at the end of the piston rod. Mainly, the traction phase (rebound) controls car body vibrations and also influences handling and comfort in the low-speed damping range. By using the traction phase adjustment, the vehicle can be adapted to the requirements of the driver. Moreover the driving behavior can be regulated from comfortably rolling to sporty and tense with improved road holding characteristics.

The compression phase adjustment is carried out at the lower end of the shock absorber via our patented multi-purpose valve. The large number of pre-set parameters of this valve allows for a wide range of adjustment for individual use. The unique low-speed compression adjustment significantly distinguishes this technology from any other. In this compression range, the driving behavior of the vehicle is drastically influenced. An increase of the damping power supports the vehicle already during compression and therefore avoids rolling and pitching. The directional stability is significantly improved.

KW "inox-line" in detail

  • Highly corrosion-resistant
  • Unsurpassed quality
  • No signs of wear at the adjustment mechanism – also during long use
  • Trapezoid thread in stainless steel eases height-adjustment
  • Perfect look – permanently
  • High load tolerance

Porsche Cayman Shooting Brake Fake +video

Thu, 13 Aug 2009

The fake Porsche Cayman Shooting Brake - rendered in Maya Turns out that it was all a bit of viral fun created by Jared Holstein, the outgoing editor of TopGear.com. He came up with the idea and got a bunch of Summer Interns in the States to do the donkey work. A digital design student called Matt DuVall used Maya (a digital 3D rendering programme) to create the original image (actually, I’ve been trying to master Maya for ever – must get some tips from Matt!) which incorporated lots of Porsche design themes, and even used a Porsche ‘Mule’ license plate.

Nissan Note (2013) first pictures

This is the new Nissan Note, due to arrive in the UK in 2013. Nissan chiefs are quick to point out that the car shown here is the Japanese market version, and that the car offered to European buyers next year will have design tweaks inside and out, and a different dynamic set-up. What do we know about the 2013 Nissan Note?

Car Design Awards China 2013 winners revealed
