Adam's Complete 2 Bucket Car Wash Kit

You've invested a lot of time and effort polishing and waxing your car to perfection, but now what? This kit gives you the essential tools to complete a 2 bucket wash and safely remove dirt and grime without undoing all that hard work!

For all the polishing, all the waxing, all the buffing, dressing, scrubbing, and wiping... theres one key element to maintaining a good looking finish on your car... thats THE WASH.

What many people don't realize about washing their vehicle is that often times its their process thats causing the most damage to their painted surfaces and the biggest reason for swirl marks. This kit gives you the correct tools to perform a proper 2-Bucket wash and ensure that you don't undo all those hours of hard work in getting your paint perfect.

GETTING READY -

  • Place a Grit Guard Bucket insert in the bottom of each bucket.
  • Fill one of the buckets with just water, approximately 3/4 of the way to the top - this will be your 'rinse bucket'.
  • Place your jumbo wash pad at the bottom of the other bucket and add approximately 3-4oz of Adam's Car Wash Shampoo directly onto the wash pad.
  • Using a heavy stream of water from the hose fill the bucket, making sure to spray into the pad to activate the soap and generate thick lather - this will be your 'soap bucket'.
THE WASH PROCESS -
  • Start at the top of the vehicle and work your way down, soaping up and cleaning one panel at a time.
  • After each panel take your wash pad, dunk it into your rinse bucket, and rub it against the Grit Guard at the bottom to dislodge any dirt or grit.
  • Move the pad to the soap bucket, rubbing it against the grit guard once again, and then return to the vehicle with fresh soapy water.
  • Repeat this process after each panel and complete the entire vehicle EXCEPT for the lowest portion, approximately the lowest 1/4 of the vehicle should be done last.
  • Place your 2nd, smaller, wash pad into the soap bucket. Add another 1-2oz of Car Wash Shampoo and generate fresh suds.
  • Complete the lowest 25% of the car using this pad and the same process outlined earlier, rinsing the pad after each panel.
  • DO NOT rinse the vehicle until all panels are cleaned.
  • Lastly rinse the vehicle using a heavy stream of water from the hose. Make sure to get soap out of all cracks and crevices including side view mirrors and around door handles.
  • If a garage or shady area is available pull the car to that spot at this time.
DRYING -

  • Mist the vehicle with Adam's Detail Spray while still wet.
  • Starting at the top of the vehicle and working your way down use the Adam's Great White Drying Towel to dry.
  • Use additional squirts of Detail Spray in any areas where water is starting to dry and leave spots.
  • Use second included towel in the event the first one becomes too saturated or doesn't absorb anymore water.
  • Dry the entire outside of the car including paint and glass.
  • Save door jambs for last.
  • Use a different towel for drying wheels and tires.
STEP BACK AND ADMIRE, YOU'RE DONE!!

The complete idiot's guide to drag racing

Fri, 11 Apr 2014

First, get yourself a car. A 550-hp dragster will do nicely. Sure, you could run what you brung, but a Miata's stock 1.8-liter would look mighty silly making a pass, and we don't have all day anyway.

Heifer fuel

Wed, 17 Apr 2013

Unlike most people, when Michael Doyle drives past a herd of cattle grazing in a field, he doesn't see future tenderloins or T-bones. He sees fuel. The company Doyle co-owns, North Star Biofuels, is about to start production of biodiesel at a new $15 million, 20,000-square-foot plant in Watsonville, Calif., about 60 miles south of San Francisco.

'First Aid' penalty notice scrapped

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

A MOTORIST who received a penalty ticket when a camera car spotted her in a loading bay in Bristol after pulling over to administer first aid to an injured cyclist has had it cancelled. Janet Young had gone to help the cyclist in Church Road, St George, after he clipped a pavement and came off his bike. Mrs Young, a receptionist from Bristol, said despite the ticket she would do the same thing again.
