Mazda Hazumi Concept previews new Mazda2 – teased for Geneva Motor Show
Fri, 21 Feb 2014The Mazda Hazumi Concept (pictured) teased ahead of Geneva Mazda are gearing up for the Geneva Motor Show next week with the first teaser image of the Mazda Hazumi Concept. The Hazumi Concept – which apparently means ‘Spring up’ or ‘bound’ (as in ‘bound around’ not ‘bound up’) – is the firts clear view of the next generation Mazda 2 featuring the latest iteration of Mazda’s Kodo design language and clearly takes design cues from the new Mazda3. We’ll get more details on the Hazumi/new Mazda2 as Geneva approaches, but we’re expecting it to spawn a production version of the next generation Mazda 2 that will go on sale before the end of 2014.
Mazda Kiyora concept
Thu, 04 Sep 2008Mazda has released these images of the Kiyora compact urban concept car the automaker will reveal at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. Based on an all-new platform designed to maximize weight reduction, the Kiyora is claimed to represent the harmony between driving pleasure and environmental and safety features. Meaning 'clean and pure' in Japanese, the concept of 'Kiyora' helped the designers to imagine a city car cutting cleanly through an urban landscape, with water as the design theme.
Webinars: Autodesk presents improvements for Alias 2012
Wed, 13 Jul 2011New features and improvements in the latest Alias 2012 release are the subject of a complimentary webinar from Autodesk which took place on July 12, 2011. Presented by Paul Deyo, Senior Principal User Experience Designer at Autodesk, the webinar delved into the many improvements available on the new Alias software for 2012. It focused primarily on the enhanced efficiencies for combined workflows, curves manipulation across multiple surfaces and the multiple time saving features enabled by MS Draft, and the new Panel Gap tool.
