Japan's concept cars - the craziest of the noughties

At many motor shows – and particularly ones in its back yard – the Japanese industry serves up some wild concept cars which boggle the brain and tickle the ribs. It’s hardly surprising that few of them hit the mainstream.

Earlier this week BMW UK teased the lauch of a couple of Limited Edition models – the BMW M M3 Performance Edition and the M5 M Performance Edition – with a couple of short video trailers. Eterniti Motors sells first Eterniti Artemis at Beijing auto show

Eterniti Motors, which first showed us the Hemera super SUV concept in Frankfurt, then the production version--called the Artemis--in Beijing, sold its first car at the Chinese show. The company took five orders for the Eterniti Artemis, four in standard specification and one bespoke version. The standard Artemis SUV costs $337,500, converted from British pounds.
