General Motors salutes Bob Lutz

General Motors gave a fitting send-off to now-retired vice chairman Bob Lutz on Tuesday in Detroit. Lutz officially hung it up on April 30 after more than five decades in the auto business. He was most recently an adviser and served an extended stint as GM's product boss.

The latest Porsche 911 GT3 boasts an all-new 469bhp 3.8-litre flat-six and is quicker than the legendary GT3 RS 4.0, but fans of this hardcore icon have voiced their concern over its new dual-clutch PDK gearbox and its steering (both the electric rack inherited from the 991-generation Carrera, and the new rear-axle steering).  Ahead of the 911 GT3's unveil at the 2013 Geneva show this week, CAR had exclusive access to the car, and to the man who headed the team that engineered it: Porsche's head of GT series production Andreas Preuninger. Toyota has revealed its Corolla Furia Concept at the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. The carmaker's compact sedan concept - which measures in at 4,620mm long, 1,805mm wide and 1,425mm high sitting on a wheelbase of 2,700mm - previews design cues expected to feature on the next-generation Corolla. Designed around a theme of ‘Iconic Dynamism', it uses simple surfaces to create a more recognizable appearance that will appeal to a younger generation.
