When racer and enthusiasts buy AEM performance parts, they are getting the finest engineering, highest quality and best value our industry has to offer. Look no further than our products for proof. Years ago, we wanted to make a stand alone engine management available to the masses by developing a Programmable Engine Management System (EMS) that plugs into a factory wiring harness. We did, and our Series 1 and 2 Plug & Play EMS systems are on thousands of racecars. But if you aren’t improving, your aren’t winning, which is why we are proud to introduce our Infinity programmable engine management system. It’s a quantum leap over our existing technology and almost any engine control technology you can find anywhere. Its only tuning is – truly – your imagination.

Our Wideband UEGO Controller was the first product to incorporate a gauge interface with a wideband air/fuel controller. We’ve upped the ante again by introducing a Wideband Failsafe Device – a combined Wideband controller unit and boost gauge that proactively monitors AFR and Boost to save your engine should your AFR stray outside of a selected range.

In 2007, we introduced our Water/Methanol Injection System and have refined the components to deliver what we feel is the most reliable system on the market. But failures happen, and since we could not find a Failsafe device that truly protected an engine, we design one. Our water/Methanol Failsafe device monitors the entire injection curve to trigger an alarm event under any condition, allowing you to use your water/methanol system with complete peace of mind.

And there’s more! From our new AQ-1 Data Logger, to our Dyno-Shaft On-Vehicle Dynomometer to our High Output Coils that deliver CDI spark energy and inductive coil-like duration, we design, engineer and source parts that work better, offer more features and ultimately help you win.

Holden Calais unveiled, previews Chevrolet SS

Sat, 09 Feb 2013

General Motors' Australian subsidiary, Holden, has revealed its new VF series Calais -- the rear-wheel-drive sedan that in top-of-the-line, V8-powered, left-hand-drive form -- will be exported to North America and sold as the Chevrolet SS. The new Calais sits at the top of what Holden describes as an “extensively upgraded Commodore” range, with right-hand-drive Australian sales set to get underway in June. The Holden Commodore and its more luxurious Calais derivative have underpinned General Motors' sales in Australia since its introduction in 1978.

McLaren 12C Spider Neiman Marcus Edition. Christmas is coming.

Wed, 10 Oct 2012

This year’s special Christmas car from Neiman Marcus is a special edition of the McLaren 12C Spider with lunch with Ron Dennis thrown in. Last year Neiman Marcus offered the Ferrari FF but this year it’s the turn of the Brits again (the Neiman Marcus Christmas car was the Jaguar XJ in 2009) with the new McLaren 12C Spider, the convertible version of the MP4-12C (which, it appears, McLaren now want us to call just the 12C). The Neiman Marcus 12C Spider is a bog standard car (not that there’s much ‘bog standard’ about 616bhp and a 0-62mph of just 3.1 seconds) in Volcano Red, but it does come with the prerequisite of a Neiman Marcus car by offering something money can’t easily buy (although it self evidently can) – dinner with Ron.

Hybrid owners sue Ford over Fusion, C-Max mpg claims

Wed, 24 Apr 2013

Pennsylvania car owners are suing Ford Motor Co., claiming that the 2013 Fusion hybrid and C-Max hybrid are not delivering on promised fuel-efficiency figures, according to a report from Bloomberg. Both hybrid models are advertised to return 47 mpg, but the owners say that number is inflated to seem more competitive among other midsize sedans, according to their court filing. The complaint says car owners who have submitted estimates to a fuel-economy tracking website averaged 38.5 mpg, a 10-mpg difference that can cost an additional $1,800 in fuel costs over five years, Bloomberg reports.
