The all new Takeda Momentum Sealed Intake System produces up to 7HP and 8 lbs. x ft. of torque over stock, while outflowing the factory intake by 57%. Each intake uses a large 360 degree high flow Pro DRY S air filter for maximum flow, filtration and convenience.  The Pro DRY S air filter requires no oils and cleans with simple soap and water. Also included is a rotomolded intake tube designed to increase airflow for maximum torque. Takeda intakes come complete with all necessary hardware. This system fits both the 6 speed and CVT transmission vehicles

Built-In Air Scoop:
Features a one-piece rotomolded air box that incorporates a built-in air scoop opening that captures cold air from the front of the vehicle.

"Rounded Nose" Filter Top:
An aerodynamic rounded filter top is used to reduce air resistance and direct airflow smoothly into the intake track.

Housing/Air Filter Interface:
This intake system features a unique patent pending filter to air box interface that creates a flawless seal.

"Loop" Intake Tube:
This Momentum intake system features a unique "looped" tube engineered to improve low-end torque.

Daimler-Renault alliance approved, report says

An international alliance between Daimler and Renault has been approved by the companies' boards and is set to be announced on Wednesday, Bloomberg is reporting. The pact would allow the German and French automakers to collaborate on a range of products, including small cars, commercial vehicles and engines. AutoWeek first reported on the alliance last week.

Volkswagen's Slipstream concept has won the fourth annual Design Challenge competition, part of the Design Los Angeles automobile designer's conference. The award was presented during the second press day of the 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show.  The theme of this year's competition, RoboCar of 2057, asked eight automotive design studios in California to form their vision of the future by depicting a vehicle that incorporates artificial intelligence engineered to make life easier and more attractive to consumers 50 years from now. Designers entered two-dimensional renderings and concept descriptions predicting how the rapidly advancing field of artificial intelligence will integrate into the automobile to make life safer, more practical and attractive, and the entries were judged by multi-discipline design professionals who selected the winner based on its originality of creative concept, integration of robotics and level of adaptation to a variety of environmental conditions and consumer needs.
