AFR 195cc heads feature a 75cc or 65cc combustion chamber with a 64cc exhaust port and a 3/4 in. thick head deck (ideal for nitrous or blower applications). Standard valves are lightweight 8mm, 2.050 in. intakes (competition versions are 2.080 in.) and 1.600 in. exhausts with AFR's hardened ductile iron interlocking valve seats. The exceptional flow characteristics of the AFR 195cc Eliminator Street Heads, a 23 degree valve angle, and standard valve spacing make them the perfect street heads for 350 to 400 c.i.d. engines in the 2,000 to 6,500 rpm operating range. These cylinder heads carry CARB #D-250-2 when used on 1969-94 applications with the heat riser. |

SEMA ups scholarship money for car-crazed college kids
Mon, 07 Jan 2013The Specialty Equipment Market Association, better known to most of us as SEMA, has announced a hefty boost to its SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund for 2013: The top student selected now gets $1,000 more for a total of $5,000 toward an automotive-related college education. Other eligible participants in four-year programs get $3,000—last year, they only received $2,000—and two-year students get their funds doubled to $2,000. In the Buckeye State, one lucky student at the Ohio Technical College will get complete tuition coverage, which is a cool $29,400.
New Ford Ranger debuts at Australia show
Thu, 14 Oct 2010Ford's new Ranger pickup made its world debut today at the Australian International Motor Show in Sydney. The compact pickup truck will be sold in 180 countries. Sales begin next summer, but the new Ranger will not be sold in North America.
