This is a factory refurbished motor, with new brushes installed by the factory.  It has fantastic specs:

Reinforced Kevlar armature
DC operation

One side of the motor case was clearanced slightly so we could fit it on our motor mount.  You can see that in one of the photos.

It took a decade to get the LFA from initial concept to production, and much changed in that time.
