Left and right ailerons from a 1946 Piper J3 Cub wood spar wing. These ailerons have metal to aluminum corrosion damage to the spar hinge area. Very common problem. It was found during restoration. They are repairable with a splice or spar replacement. Only one hinge was removed for inspection as in picture. Two brand new replacement spars are included for the repair. What with the 2012 Olympics and the Diamond Jubilee there’s not much space left in the London ‘Season’ so Salon Privé has been moved to the back end and will run from September 5-7th.
