Mercedes-Benz considering Aston Martin buyout

Mercedes-Benz is reportedly considering a deal to buyout sports car manufacturer Aston Martin, fuelling rumours that the canned Aston Martin Lagonda SUV concept from 2009 (pictured above) could once again be back on. The move would see Merc increase its current 5% stake in the British brand following a deal announced last year to supply AMG engines for Aston’s next generation of sports cars. Saab says it will restart production after securing short-term loan

Saab aims to restart production within a week after its owner, Spyker Cars, secured a 30 million euro ($44.7 million) short-term loan to help ease its cash crunch. Spyker said it will borrow the money from Gemini Investment Fund in a convertible loan agreement with a 6-month maturity. The interest rate of the loan is 7 percent a year and the conversion price is 4.88 euros per share.

Nissan's Resonance concept has made its world debut at the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). The Resonance concept, created by Nissan Design America under the direction of senior vice president and chief creative officer Shiro Nakamura, features the ‘V-Motion', which starts from the tinted acrylic front grille with Satin Chrome accents and moves through the hood, framed by the boomerang-shaped headlamps. A sharp character line feeds from the headlamps above the pronounced wheelarches before dipping and then flicking upwards into the rear lamps.
