The company was founded in 1997 when it began developing and manufacturing air intake systems for light trucks and SUVs, utilizing the cotton-gauze filter technology that was available at the time. The original AIRAID Intake System combined an open-element filter with an intake tube to make an easy-to install air intake kit that dramatically increased air flow, improved performance and generated more horsepower and torque. AIRAID Premium Filters consist of multiple layers of cotton-gauze plus one layer of synthetic fiber material called SynthaFlow, sandwiched between either stainless steel or aluminum mesh, depending upon the application. The casing of the filter is hand-poured urethane, which offers superior performance and durability, and won't shrink or crack from prolonged heat exposure under the hood. BMW DesignworksUSA to revamp Singapore Airlines

BMW DesignworksUSA has been set the task of developing Singapore Airlines' new First Class seats and cabin interior. Given the fast-paced improvement in the quality of premium Asian air travel – Emirates and Cathay Pacific are two examples – Singapore Airlines has decided to revamp its First Class area while upgrading its in-flight entertainment system. The chief redesign will be limited to its First and Business Class sections as those are the main sources of revenue but economy passengers will see upgraded headrests and seating.

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 09 November 2007 11:45 Facelifted Ford Focus ST: the first pictures Yesterday Ford announced the run-out ST500 special edition of the old Focus, today it's shown the new one.We saw the revised Focus at this autumn's Frankfurt Motor Show, but Ford only teased us with humdrum models. Now the Blue Oval has released the first details of the new ST, with a refreshed look to emphasise its sporty position at the top of the Focus tree.So there's a new bumper, much shallower grille and more rectangular, swept-back headlamps at the front, giving a more techincal look. The rear has been refreshed, too, but the changes are less noticeable.
