Vintage Airguide Small Boat Compass - made by Airguide in Chicago, IL, USA Black Face - Red Illuminated dial, Metal case. Compass is in really nice condition with the mounting bracket and wiring to light the compass for night use. Works Great. Very nice looking red glow Illumination. Compass reads true. Looks nice, looks vintage. Bubble is so clear and nice you can see the reflections of the trees in my backyard. I looked it up and this Compass is reported to have "jeweled movement, Alnico V magnet, red illumination for night use, internal compensating system and a "U" Bracket - which is removable". . Please double-check on-line applications before purchase. Compass is 4 1/2" tall (5" with bracket) and 3 1/2" wide (4" with bracket). As you can see in the photo, one wire has plastic broken close to housing. Does not affect operation. Still works great. Please check photos closely for condition. They keep churning out new cars (well, endless new limited editions, anyway) despite sales that seem to keep falling. Last year (2010) saw Smart sales in the UK fall by 8.5% and their sales last month (December 2010) were a woeful 57% down on December 2009.
