Airspeed Indicator F7F Tigercat & AD-2 Skyraider USNavy R88-I-350-25 500 KnotsThis offer is for a vintage 500 Knot Airspeed Indicator as used in the Cold-War-era Grumman F7F Tigercat and AD-2 Skyraider of the US Navy, made by US Gauge. See photo of the indicator the F7F Flight Manual dated 1947. It has an overhaul stamp on the rear case from Naval Air Station Penscacola (FL) dated Aug 1959. Measures 3.25in diameter and ~4in deep. It is in nice condition given its age. The dial markings are clear and the glass and case are intact. See photos.

Sun, 18 May 2014Cosworth promise power upgrades for the FA 20 engine Ever since the Toyota GT86 and Subaru BRZ arrived as ‘affordable’ sports cars with a focus on the dynamics rather than outright power, there’s been endless claims and rumours that more power is on the way. As far back as 2011, Subaru in the US confirmed that a turbo version of the BRZ’s 2.0 litre FA20 Boxer engine was under development although, to be fair, they didn’t say it was actually heading for the BRZ. And just last year, Subaru teased what we thought could be a more powerful BRZ STI, but that turned out to be a BRZ tS with go faster bits but no more actual power.
