McLaren MP4-12C to start at about $230,000
Wed, 24 Nov 2010The McLaren MP4-12C sports car will have a sticker price of between $230,000 and $250,000 when it goes on sale in the United States about a year from now. McLaren said on Wednesday that the sports car will be priced at 168,500 pounds (about $265,800) in the United Kingdom and at 200,000 euros (about $267,200) in Europe when it goes on sale in that region in early 2011. Beyond some disappointment that the styling was a little generic, the praise for the potential of the new Ferrari-busting McLaren has been pretty much universal. We’re more inclined to see the styling as ‘Classic Supercar’ and non-dating, but these things are entirely subjective.

Yesterday we had the first photo of the 2012 Mercedes SL after a scan of Mercedes new SL turned up on the web. We expected that leak would galvanise Mercedes-Benz to bring forward the release of official photos of the SL a bit ( we were expecting them tomorrow), but it hasn’t so far.
