Land Rover begins production of the Range Rover Evoque
Tue, 05 Jul 2011Land Rover started production of its Range Rover Evoque on Monday, as the first production vehicle was driven off the line at Land Rover's U.K. Halewood plant in Liverpool. "The Evoque is an incredibly exciting vehicle that joins a product range which across both of our brands is the strongest we have ever had--and it fits in perfectly," Jaguar Land Rover CEO Ralf Speth said in a statement.

If BMW are going to go further downmarket in their quest for more sales – which we know they are with their plans for front wheel drive BMWs – then short of a sub-brand marque (entirely possible some will wear the Isetta or i-setta badge) then the only number we have to play with is a big, fat 0. It seems daft to give a BMW a leading 0 and its own series, but it certainly looks to be under consideration.

Tue, 10 Dec 2013The Hyundai Intrado (pictured) will debut at Geneva 2014 The Hyundai Intrado Concept (pictured above) is being previewed ahead of a debut at next year’s Geneva Motor Show, and previews not just the new Intrado but Hyundai’s vision of its future. The Intrado (HED-9) looks to be a compact SUV/Crossover and features Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design, showcasing the design future of Hyundai now Peter Schreyer is pulling the design strings at Hyundai as well as Kia. Hyundai say the Intrado is built round a super-lightweight structure using advanced materials joined with a revolutionary technique which, say Hyundai, could change the way cars are constructed in the future.
