But this is about the problems that are starting to arise when Hybrids (and EVs for that matter) are running ‘Silently’. And with sales of Hybrid cars rocketing – particularly in Japan – it is causing concern to the authorities. So the Japanese Government has set up a panel to investigate the problem, consisting of consumers, vision-impaired groups, the police and representatives from the car industry.

A trio of special edition McLaren MP4-12C have been commissioned from McLaren Special Operations by Singapore car dealer Wearnes Automotive. We’ve had quite a flurry of activity from McLaren lately , what with the UK debut of the 12C Spider, the McLaren X-1 based on the 12C by McLaren Special Operations (MSO) and the big one – the new McLaren P1. The McLaren P1 is the headline act for a golden halo for McLaren, but the MP4-12C and McLaren Special Operations are the main source of income for now – or at least until the ‘Baby’ McLaren to take on cars like the Audi R8 and Porsche 911 arrives in a couple of years time.

Great Wall Motors will show the Haval Coupe concept at the upcoming Beijing motor show, an event that looks set to be dominated by this SUV crossover segment.Very few details and only these images of the car in a dark studio so it's impossible to comment on the work of recently-appointed GWM design director Pierre Leclercq, designer of the BMW X6. However what we can see are its trio of vertical lamp graphics front and rear, as the brand attempts to define its brand identity, as well as a tapered roofline, as befits its 'coupe' tag.More details to follow from Beijing.
