Saab says a new financial deal with Chinese companies Pang Da and Zhejiang Youngman Lotus gives it the cash to plan three new models. Saab's plan calls for: -- The 9-1, an entry-level car that has been known as the 9-2 until now. -- The 9-6 and the 9-7, which Saab says will be prestige vehicles.

Who's Where: Bryan Nesbitt becomes General Manager of Cadillac

Fri, 31 Jul 2009

Bryan Nesbitt, who until last week was General Motors' North American Vice President of Design, started his new role as general manager of the Cadillac brand on Monday, July 27. The XKR-S GT doesn’t get extra power – the XKR-S already has 542bhp – but it does get lots of tweaks to make it more able to use the performance it has. That means a new bonnet with more vents to improve cooling, a new carbon fibre front splitter, new rear diffuser, an aluminium undertray at the front, a whopping great spoiler at the back and bits of carbon fibre floating around.
