Although final numbers are not in, the folks at Hagerty Insurance had observers at each auction who kept a running total while every car crossed the block. Mercedes CL 500 to be anniversary edition

In celebration of the occasion, Mercedes has revealed a CL 500 “100 years of the trademark” anniversary edition. Daimler's was the Mercedes Star, while Benz's was “Benz” set in the center of a laurel wreath.
Range Rover Sport claims desert crossing record

But Land Rover claims to have broken the record for crossing Saudi Arabia's 'Empty Quarter,' starting at Wadi Adda Wasir in Saudi Arabia, and traveling east across the desert to the United Arab Emirates border. The 'Empty Quarter' is known to be one of the harshest and most challenging environments on the planet, and is actually the largest sand desert in the world and the second largest desert overall after the Sahara.
