95% of Alfa people have never even seen pictures of these. I guarantee you this is the rarest item for Giuliettas that has been on Ebay for a while. They strap down luggage in all Sprints that do not have rear seats. That would be almost all of them. Another tidbit; Do you know why there were so few Sprints with back seats back then? Because the price was almost a 1/4 of the value of the car!!!! I will accept the best offer. They have been in a bag in a dresser drawer for at least the past thirty years. They can use some Mink oil, but I will leave any conditioning to the new owner. They also may be able to have "Speciale" embossed in gold after the "Sprint" so as to go in the SS as well. I am not sure how the bottom bracket on the SS or SZ is situated, so I can't say for sure. I am putting these up at $2k, but again, I will accept the best offer. Michael Mauer appointed head of design at Porsche
Mon, 10 May 2004Porsche AG has anounced the appointment of Michael Mauer to take over as chief designer from Harm Lagaay, who will retire on July 1 after 15 years in the post. Michael Mauer, 41, studied automobile design at Pforzheim University, and started his career at Mercedes-Benz. In 1989, he was appointed design project leader for the Mercedes V Class models, and was in charge of design work for the first SLK model generation.
