2 Year Limited Warranty

 

Star Motion LLC offers a 2 year limited warranty for Alien Motion™ batteries, regarding defects in material and/or workmanship on new batteries purchased after October 1, 2012.  Batteries purchased before the October 1, 2012 effective date will remain under the 180 day warranty policy.  All Alien Motion™ starter batteries are tested prior to shipping, balanced and charged to ensure maximum reliability. Warranty pertains only to Alien Motion™ batteries sold and shipped in the USA and are non-transferable.

Warranty claims are handled by Star Motion LLC.  Contact tech support to diagnose the problem.  If the product needs to be returned, you will be assigned an RMA number from tech support.

Returns must be accompanied with the assigned RMA, Proof of Purchase, & Battery Return Form.

Customer will be responsible for shipping cost to return batteries.  Star will pay for return shipping on repair or replacement of verified warranty returns.  Products found not to be defective, can be shipped back to the customer at their expense.

Warranty coverage is a pro-rated policy as follows:

 Purchase Date to 6 months  100% 

 6 months & 1 day to 1 year    75%  of current listed MSRP

 1 year & 1 day to 2 years    50%  of current listed MSRP

Conditions not covered under warranty:

• Physical Damage - We cannot warranty batteries that have been crashed, submerged in liquid, opened, tampered with, over torqued, or damaged due to improper restraint of battery
• Over discharge of battery - (Allowing the disconnected battery to fall below 11.2V)
• Over voltage/current charging - by charger, faulty charger, faulty regulator/alternator, incompatible charger, or improper user setting
• Overloading from excessive current draw due to battery being undersized for application
• Short circuit of battery terminals or diagnostic connector
• Star reserves the right to deny any and all claims if conditions and terms are not met
• Star Motion LLC shall not be held liable for any damage to person, or personal property resulting from the use of these products.
