Features Allstar Flat Style Engine Pushrod Guide Plate for 5/16 inch Hardened Pushrod (Pack of 8) features engine pushrod guide plates. They have been designed for small block Chevy applications and designed to fit 5/16 inch hardened pushrods. The guide plates are a flat style and stabilize valvetrains using high lift camshafts and high pressure valve springs. The hardened pushrods are mandatory when using pushrod guide plates. Parade of Woodward Dream Cruise classics gets underway
Fri, 19 Aug 2011Friday marked the final prelude of the 17th annual Woodward Dream Cruise but pre-event festivities have been underway for days throughout suburban Detroit. A lights-and-sirens cruise graced the streets of Ferndale, Mich., during late afternoon, while an emergency-vehicle show ran through the evening; live DJs set up to play through the day and night in Pontiac, Mich.; a classic-car parade lit up the streets in the nearby suburb of Berkley; and classic-car displays have now claimed much of the pavement in Royal Oak. Among local car enthusiasts participating in the week-long buildup to the Woodward Dream Cruise, Kathy Lang and her husband have been set up with their 1964 Dodge Polara in the Royal Oak vicinity since Monday.

It's more good news for the fans of the obscure Dutch brand: last week the company that builds the cars in the UK bought the brand from holding company Spyker Cars N.V, there's a waiting list that stretches into early 2012, and now Spyker is committing to endurance racing for the next few years. Based on Spyker’s new flagship C8 Aileron, the new GT racer is being designed and developed to meet the GTE regulations set by the ACO, the governing body of the Le Mans 24hrs.
