Braided stainless steel outer convering resists abrasion and corrosion. Ideal for use where bending and flexing occur. More durable than original equipment rubber hose. The Jetsons' futuristic vision of a flying car is one step closer to becoming a reality. Terrafugia, a Massachusetts company developing a "roadable aircraft" named the Transition, just received special exemptions from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that will help it move the vehicle move forward to production. NHTSA will allow the Transition to be outfitted with plastic windows rather than standard automotive safety glass.

General Motors chairman and CEO Rick Wagoner has agreed to "step aside" after pressure from the Obama administration last week, ending his eight-year tenure at the helm as the company seeks additional federal aid. He's been replaced by GM President and COO Fritz Henderson, effective immediately. GM confirmed the moves shortly after midnight Monday.
