The tail shaft bushing is a regular wear item, located inside the transmission tailshaft housing. It should be replaced when replacing a tailshaft seal or when a driveshaft failure has occurred. A worn bushing will cause excessive side-to-side movement of the slip yoke and create a vibration or leak. Bushing and seal fit GM Powerglide, Turbo 350, Saginaw, Muncie, Bert and Brinn transmissions. |

GM to invest $2 billion in 17 plants
Tue, 10 May 2011General Motors said Tuesday that it will invest about $2 billion in 17 plants across eight states in the United States. "We are doing this because we are confident about demand for our vehicles and the economy," GM CEO Dan Akerson said in a statement. Akerson made the announcement at GM's transmission plant in Toledo, along with Ohio Gov.
