Jaguar XE full price & specs revealed – costs from £26,995 to £44,870
Wed, 01 Oct 2014Jaguar XE full price & specs revealed – costs from £26,995 to £44,870 The new Jaguar XE had a glitzy London launch last month, but all we really got was the XE S; the lesser models were kept under wraps until the Paris Motor Show debut. But now that’s upon us we get full UK specs and prices for a car that will be the make or break of Jaguar, certainly in terms of becoming a real challenger to the German triumvirate and moving from niche maker to proper global player in the Premium market. And Jaguar are obviously feeling pretty bullish about the XE, because instead of offering it at a discount to their main challenger – the BMW 3-Series – they’ve actually come in at a bit of a premium.

The small BMW i3 City Car has been around since BMW revealed it as a concept (and changed its name from Megacity Vehicle to i3) two years ago. And the production i3 will be revealed two years to the day from the arrival of the i3 concept, on 29th July.
Mini Rocketman concept (2011) at 2011 Geneva motor show
Wed, 23 Feb 2011The new Mini Rocketman is manna from heaven for critics who bemoan the new BMW Mini’s growth spurt from bijou city car to bloated supersized mini. The Rocketman, Mini’s 2011 Geneva motor show debutant, is a blueprint for a new kind of smaller Mini – and it’s within an inch or two of Alec Issignois’s 1959 original. Don’t dismiss the Mini Rocketman as pie-in-the-sky concept.
