Honda readies its jet airplane -- for real this time
Thu, 22 May 2014Honda would like to remind you that while journalists have spent the last few years fretting whether the Big H has "lost its way," the company has quietly launched, shelved, resurrected, and all but waited out its plan to dominate the business-jet skies, which we are to assume are less friendly than United's. The HA-420 HondaJet has been kicking around for more than 10 years now, but the very first production-ready plane just rolled off the assembly line in Greensboro, N.C., this week -- and, Honda promises, the $4.5 million business jet should be delivered in the second quarter of next year. Land Rover reveals rejigged Discovery at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show
Wed, 11 Sep 2013Land Rover has revealed a surprisingly comprehensive facelift for the Discovery range here at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show – and the firm has underlined the changes with some new badging for the Discovery range. Instead of having ‘LAND ROVER’ on the bonnet, the new Discovery has, well, ‘DISCOVERY’ lettering. That’s because Land Rover wants to make Discovery into its own brand, a bit like Range Rover: here at Frankfurt 2013, we’re seeing the first steps in this rebranding.
Video: Stuntman flips over charging Lamborghini
Fri, 15 Mar 2013This might be the coolest video we’ve seen this week: a stuntman at last week’s Top Gear Festival at Sydney Motorsport Park in Australia flips over a charging Lamborghini Murcielago. The supercar isn’t traveling even close to peak speed, but the stuntman’s timing, vertical jump and acrobatics are impressive enough. The festival combined a slew of motorsport spectacles and stunts, hosted by UK Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson, James May and “The Stig.”
