McLaren turns the corner, posts first profits
Wed, 04 Jun 2014By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 04 June 2014 10:48 McLaren Automotive today announced it had broken even for the first time in its brief three-year history, posting a £4.5 million pre-tax profit in 2013. It's great news for the young supercar brand, which until now has lost money every year. McLaren's turnover was £285m, up from £267 in 2012, as it increased production towards its long-term goal of 4000 cars a year.
2013 Dacia Sandero Revealed
Tue, 18 Sep 2012The new 2013 Dacia Sandero 2 – a Fiesta sized budget offering – has been revealed ahead of a public debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. Yesterday we had news of Renault’s cut-price Dacia Logan – which may come to the UK – and today we get news of the Dacia Sandero 2 – beloved by James May – which will debut at Paris at the end of the month and is definitely heading for the UK. The Sandero has been a big-seller throughout Europe for years but now, with the launch of the Sandero 2, Dacia has decided the time is right to make their budget supermini available in the UK alongside the new Dacia Duster SUV.
Suzuki's C segment Crossover headed for Geneva
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Suzuki has released the first two images of its new C Segment Crossover ahead of its premiere at next month's Geneva show. Unfortunately, apart from the two renders Suzuki has revealed little else about the car other than the fact that it's based on the S-Cross concept that we saw at last September's Paris show. We'll only find out what the car's name is in Geneva.
