Wed, 09 Oct 2013Ford testing self-parking cars – with or without a driver It seems we’re heading to the point where cars can do more and more for the driver, and fully autonomous cars seem to be less than a decade away. On the way to the fully autonomous car, car makers will be offering stages on the way as the ability of cars to be self-controlling moves along, and Ford are heading in that direction with their new systems for parking and obstacle avoidance. Ford are running prototypes with Fully Assisted Parking, a system that manages to sense a space, control the steering, gearbox and brakes to park the car at the touch of a button, even if the driver isn’t actually in the car.
Citroen DS4 teased

And the first to come will be the Citroen DS4 and Citroen have now started the inevietable ‘Tease’ with the picture you see above. The Citroen DS4 will be mechanically based on the new C4, but will be very much its own car.
Pregnant women 'more likely to crash'
Tue, 13 May 2014BEING pregnant significantly increases a woman driver's chances of having a serious car crash, research has shown. During the second trimester of pregnancy – weeks 14 to 26 – the risk of being involved in a road accident requiring hospital treatment rose by 42%, a Canadian study of more than 500,000 pregnant women found. In the three years before getting pregnant, the women between them had an average 177 crashes per month.
