Peugeot 408 GT teased ahead of Beijing 2014 debut

Peugeot will show a new concept car at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show this April, hinting at a small four-door coupe that could rival the Mercedes-Benz CLA. The prototype will most likely be based on the French firm’s current 308 hatchback – underpinned by PSA Peugeot Citroen’s latest EMP2 platform – and will continue to evolve the brand’s new design direction. Called My Classic Porsche Search, the program is intended to find and document the oldest of the brand's models in the United States as part of the company's celebration of its 60th anniversary in the United States.

The latest C7-generation Corvette drop-top uses the same mechanical package (big V8 up front, power sent to the rear wheels) as its fixed-head sister but adds an electrically-folding soft-top roof that you can lower remotely via pushing a button on the key fob. You can also drop the roof while on the move, at speed of up to 31mph.
