These Altronics O2 Alert warning and recording systems are the first data recording systems specifically designed to record air/fuel ratios with a warning output. Not only do they record up to 2 wideband oxygen sensors, they also record engine rpm and have a programmable warning output to protect against detonation. The systems feature a backlit display,  a warning output, and software. The warning output can be used to activate a warning light, enable fuel enrichment, shut down nitrous, or retard timing. Recording can be started by a preset rpm value or switch, and can be played back on the system or downloaded and graphed to a PC.

Algae-powered street lights eat CO2

Fri, 04 May 2012

Algae powered street lighting (great Photoshop) A French biochemist – Pierre Calleja – has developed a street lighting system using micro algae that absorbs CO2. The need to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere is contentious - to say the least – but as long as governments use CO2 as a stick to beat motorists and empty their bank accounts it’s sensible to look at ways of ‘balancing’ the CO2 emissions of cars. French biochemist Pierre Calleja thinks he’s come up with a solution that would neutralise CO2 emissions from cars by cancelling it out with his micro-algae lighting.

Thu, 07 Aug 2014

THE UPCOMING replacement for the world's fastest luxury car could be too quick to test, according to a motoring magazine. Bugatti is looking to replace the famous Veyron with a new, faster model that could reach speeds of around 286mph, but questions have been raised by weekly title Autocar over whether the facilities will exist to test it to its maximum. Not only is space a concern for the 1,500-horsepower concept, because it will need much longer straights than the Veyron, but also tyres are an issue.
