Dart Pro1 355 CNC Aluminum Heads for Big Block

These are brand new "repaired defective" cylinder heads. Both of these heads had a small 3mm section of porosity in the end chambers. The defects were repaired with weld and blended back in. The price you see is for a pair of bare heads. One of these heads has a very light gold marine coating and the other does not, its barely noticable.

Every intake port, every exhaust port, every valve bowl and every combustion chamber is 100% CNC machined on special, dedicated Pro1 castings. Our 5-axis computer controlled machining centers produce compound curves and complex shapes with consistency.

Features:
  • Premium alloy: Dart aluminum heads are cast from virgin 355-T61 aerospace alloy for superior strength and integrity.
  • Bolt on compatibility: 2 degree rolled valve angle and standard spacing accommodates all stock accessories.
  • Heart shaped 121cc chambers improve combustion efficiency.
  • CNC machining ensures that every chamber has the same volume so that every cylinder maintains equal compression.
  • Raised spark plug location improves flame travel for a quicker, more complete burn, producing more power.
  • Multi-angle intake seats and radiused exhaust seats greatly improve air flow.
  • Hardened exhaust seats are compatible with unleaded gasoline.
  • Exhaust ports raised .300" to improve flow (requires 1" longer head bolts next to exhaust ports).
  • Spark plug holes are machined for gasketed 3/4" reach plugs.
  • Manganese bronze valve guides ensure long term reliability.

Vauxhall Ampera: Try for 30 days – and then give it back

Thu, 20 Dec 2012

Vauxhall are offering buyers of the range extender Ampera the chance to buy risk free for 30 days and return the Ampera. So in an effort to get more car buyers looking seriously at the Vauxhall Ampera range-extender, Vauxhall have come up with a scheme to allow Ampera buyers to grab a new Ampera, try it for 30 days and then give it back if they don’t get on with it. It’s a clever scheme, because the Ampera is a good car.

Citroen Tubik concept car (2011) first pictures

Mon, 05 Sep 2011

The Citroen Tubik may have overtones of a guppy fish, but this new nine-seat MPV concept car shows how the French envisage a people carrier of tomorrow. It draws inspiration from the Type H or TUB (French slang for a front-wheel drive commercial vehicle) van from Citroen's history books. So it's a spacious monobox and aims to solve the usual MPV dilemma or seats or baggage, by being simply massive.

Portugal commits to the Electric Car

Sun, 23 Nov 2008

Renault Electric Car [ad#ad-1] Portugal has today committed to building 1,300 recharging stations around the country by 2011, in a deal agreed with Renault to supply Electric Cars (EV). This is a further indication of the global rush to go green, with ‘carbon’ taxes and ‘carbon’ incentives sprouting from the desks of politicians throughout the West. But how logical is this phenomenon, and is it a fools errand, based on dubious facts’?
