Honda boss, Takanobu Ito, has revealed plans for a new Civic Type-R, new compact SUV, new hydrogen car and more by 2015. Could it be that Honda are starting to come out of the beige doldrums? Although there’s little doubt that Honda makes a very good car, it’s seemed to have been very cautious and chosen follow more than lead in recent years.

The new Mitsubishi RVR Crossover will launch in 2010 When you think of Mitsubishi you either think of big SUVs like the Shogun or you think of slightly bonkers performance cars like the Evo. But in these strange, ‘Green’ times that doesn’t sit well with the public (or at least with car makers perception of what the public think) so car makers are looking to re-align their image. BMW has gone from the ‘Ultimate Driving Machine’ to ‘Joy’, and Mitsubishi wants us to think of it as a maker of fluffy-bunnie, eco-cars that do everything the buyer wants, but eat CO2 for breakfast and run on fresh air.

Nissan IDx concepts bring back budget racers

Nissan channeled its inner Datsun for the Detroit auto show on Monday. The Japanese brand showed off its IDx Freeflow and IDx Nismo concepts, which we first saw in Tokyo. The brand cited the new ways people buy and customize cars as the reason for the classic yet eye-catching style.
