Miami, Florida, United States
The SCOUT KS 115 is the ultimate marine boat AM-FM radio
antenna. It uses standard threading to fit universally to any marine mount. Length of
fiberglass antenna is 61 inches, (5ft, 1 inch), (1.5m) and the color is glossy
white with a navy blue rubber tip. Scout uses a unique pressure
injected foam technology that inhibits condensation to corrode the core inside.
They are hand painted using quality paint and then coated again with a glossy
UV stabilizer paint to keep the antenna looking new for many years in the ocean
spray outdoor environment. The reception obtained with this antenna is
outstanding due in part to the included 13ft (4m) electrical interference
resistant tightly braided tinned copper shielding made in our own manufactured
AM-FM cable. The cable includes an already attached jack that connects directly
into the back of the radio so no soldering is needed. While many marine radios
can connect to other devices via AUX or Bluetooth to stream your music, devices
such as your expensive phone can loose their charge or worse get water
exposure. The AM-FM signal is the easiest way to get music playing on board. Scout
has been hand making the best marine antennas since 1982 in a second generation
family owned facility in Related items: This item pairs well with same height and look, SCOUT KS22 VHF antenna. Also the Scout KS22Blue will match the navy blue rubber tip of this antenna. Ford eyes dandelions as sustainable alternative to synthetic rubber
Tue, 17 May 2011Ford, in conjunction with Ohio State University, is turning to the humble garden weed as sustainable resource, researching the dandelion's potential use as an alternative to synthetic rubber. While the automaker already makes considerable use of sustainable materials in its vehicles – such as soy foam seat cushions and straw-filled plastic for interior trim – this latest discovery opens up a wealth of new possibilities for automotive applications. According to research conducted by Ford, a milky-white substance that is found in certain dandelion roots can produce a sustainable rubber that could be used to create plastic parts for vehicle interiors.
Scions at SEMA
Thu, 31 Oct 2013On Tuesday, Scion unveiled the cars it will show on its stand at SEMA and, while we appreciate the efforts of the tC tuners in the Scion Tuner Challenge, we gotta admit the FR-S entries and another stretch limo xB really caught our editorial eye. Coolest car of the night was a tie between the Ken Gushi GReddy FR-S and the Bulletproof Automotive FR-S. We couldn't decide which we liked better.
