This AMC 360 crate engine by Tuff Dawg Engines would be EXCELLENT for that AMX, Javelin, Jeep Wagoneer, etc with its 365hp @ 5000rpm and 412ft lb of torque @ 3500 rpm it will set you back in the seat and still has good all around power. In most cases by replacing the carb and flexplate/flywheel this AMC 360 will replace that tired AMC 304, AMC 360 or AMC 401. This engine comes equipped with a Edelbrock Dual Plane Air Gap square bore flange intake that works best with a 670cfm carb (not included) and will run on leaded or unleaded Premium pump fuel.

The balanced rotating assembly (typically includes crankshaft, pistons, rings, connecting rods, rod bearings, and balancer) featured in this engine:

  • 3.438" stroke crank
  • 5.875" connecting rods reconditioned with ARP rod bolts
  • 9½ to 1 compression pistons

More special features of this engine include:

  • Block is sonic tested
  • New CompCam Hydraulic flat tappet cam
  • 58cc heads with 2.02"Int/1.600"Exh valves
  • New 1.440" high performance springs setup to match cam
  • New Screw-in rocker studs
  • New roller tipped rocker arms
  • New Hardened push rods
  • New Perfect Circle rings
  • New Double row timing set
  • New Brass expansion plugs
  • New Edelbrock RPM Air Gap aluminum intake manifold - The Air Gap design features an open air space that separates the runners from the hot engine oil that results in a cooler, denser charge for more power. This intake also has provisions for the oil filler tube and the popular 3/4" PCV valve
  • Oiling modifications include a front to rear steel oil tube - This steel tube takes oil from the front of the block to the rear of the block where it is needed most.
Gallery to gallery equalization tube in the rear of the block.
Lifter valley drilled for faster oil return to the oil pan.
New Milodon 8 quart oil pan with 9" rear sump that improves performance through increased capacity and strategically placed horizontal baffling for oil control and fits in all applications that originally had V8 engines (including Jeep)
  • All parts are painted separately before assembly for that show quality look

This engine comes completely assembled with Milodon 8 quart oil pan, timing cover, harmonic balancer, chrome valve covers, and an Edelbrock Dual Plane Air Gap aluminum intake manifold.

This engine is custom built from start to finish in our state of the art facility by professionals that take pride in their work to guarantee that you get a top quality engine the first time!.

Mon, 05 Sep 2011

Skoda MissionL Concept - destined to be the Skoda Lauretta Skoda is on a mission to push its sales through the roof in the next year or seven – aiming for 1.5 million sales, no less, by 2018 –  and part of that strategy is to fill the gap in its range between the Fabia and Octavia. So it’s a good thing the Skoda MissionL Concept fits the bill. Not that we have a great deal to go on with the MissionL Concept, as all Skoda have done so far is send us a short press release and the teaser photo above (which was a lot darker until we sent it through Photoshop).

NEVS completes Saab purchase

Tue, 04 Sep 2012

National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB (NEVS) has completed the purchase of the assets of Saab, but can’t use the Griffin logo. It looks like the Chinese, Japanese, Swedish Consortium NEVS has finally completed the process of acquiring the assets of bankrupt Saab, but it hasn’t quite got all it wanted. We reported last week that the process of acquiring Saab had been delayed as there were still issues over the rights to the Saab log, a logo owned by Scania and Saab Aerospace.
