Ferrari joins the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Pageant

Tue, 08 May 2012

Ferrari joins the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Pageant Ferrari joins the Diamond Jubilee Pageant at Windsor castle and are bringing the 4th Mounted Carabinieri Regiment with them. With all things Diamond Jubilee filling the social scene (at least this side of London 2012) for the summer, even car makers are getting in on the act. We’ve already had Bentley deliver a Diamond jubilee Mulsanne as their version of a commemorative tea towel, and now Ferrari is chucking its hat in the Diamond Jubilee ring.

Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid: Production to double to cope with demand

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

It’s particularly appealing if you like a car with a decent turn of speed – the V60 will do 0-62mph in 6.1 seconds – like the reassurance and practicality of 4WD – the V60′s electric motor drives the back wheels – drive in to London on a regular basis – the 48g/km emissions are congestion charge free – and get taxed as BIK from your company. If all those apply – and you already appreciate the Volvo V60 is a very good car to start with – then the V60 plug-in hybrid is a bit of a no-brainer, even with a headline price of nearly £50k (which gets within £6k of an equivalent non plug-in after the taxpayer has chipped in). It seems that many buyers agree, and Volvo is being inundated with orders.

Lexus LF-A – Interior detail +video

Wed, 25 Nov 2009

Video walkthrough of the Lexus LF-A interior below The Lexus LF-A – the new Lexus Supercar – has had a fair bit of coverage of late here on Cars UK. Prior to the reveal of the LF-A we had Dutch car journo Thomas Bangma telling us that the LF-A was the best driving car ever (we’re sure it’s wonderful – but the best ever?). We then had the reveal of the LF-A at the Tokyo Motor Show in October, when it was revealed that the LF-A will cost upwards of £300k and just 500 will be built.
