3. Question - When you say "Engine Test" what does that mean?

Answer - We have live engines on stands that we use for testing purposes only. We test for vacuum leaks, flooding, bleed clogs, etc. we also adjust the carburetors, we adjust the Mixture idle screws, that way it is not burning to rich where the fuel smell is bad and its not running to lean, where you get a rough hesitation. On top of that we adjust the idle so it is not too high or too low and we even set the fast idle for cold start, that way if you are in a quick hurry in the morning the car will be easier to start at cold operation.

4. Question - There is an extra vacuum port(s) on the carburetor you sent me what do I do?

Answer - When we remanufacture a carburetor there is more than just washing metals and installing parts, its adding bushings in the throttle shaft to avoid vacuum leaks, making necessary adjustments to leave the carburetor running perfect. checking carburetors on a 4-gas analyzer for proper Gas readings.

Bentley Flying Spur Speed: one of the world debuts at London By James Foxall Motor Shows 23 July 2008 14:04 Along with Seat, Bentley was the only member of the VW Group in evidence at Excel – and there was a world debut in the fulsome shape of the new Flying Spur Speed. What’s new on Bentley’s London motor show stand?Errrr, not very much actually. In fact there wasn’t very much of anything on the luxury brand’s stand with just four cars on display.

Mazda MX-5 gets a spruce up

Tue, 09 Dec 2008

The Mazda MX-5 is one of our favourite fun cars. It evokes all the joy of the cracking little British Roadsters of the past, like Austin Healeys, Triumph TRs, Lotus Elans and even older Morgans and XK Jags. It does it by being simple, efficient and fun to drive.

Subaru’s rear-drive sports car (2011) at 2011 Geneva motor show

Tue, 22 Feb 2011

While Toyota unveiled a revised version of its FT-86 sports car at the 2011 Geneva motor show, Subaru chose to only preview the powertrain of its 'Toyobaru' rear-drive sports coupe. Subaru and Toyota are developing the car together, and each will produce a version of the rear-drive coupe in 2012, but so far it’s been Toyota that’s grabbed all the limelight. Yes, though Subaru was originally due to show a full concept version of its RWD sports car at Geneva, but has instead only revelead the powertrain and basic body shape – not the best move, as the Toyota looks good, and without body panels you only imagine this Scooby version to have bland, flat body panels. The engine is a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre flat four, and the car rides on 17in wheels.
