Fisker Karma recalled over fire risk
Sun, 19 Aug 2012The Fisker Karma range-extender EV is being recalled over a fire risk from a faulty cooling fan. We’re not sure how many Fisker Karmas there are in the UK (well, there should be at least one), but so far it appears that there are a surprising 1,900 in the wild. Now those 1,900 (or 2,400 if you count all the Karamas built and heading for customers) are to be recalled after fire destroyed two Karmas in the US.
Jaguar F-Type

The F-Type offers little in the way of surprise to anyone who saw last year’s C-X16 concept, or indeed a current XK for that matter. It’s a more compact sports car than the XK, aimed squarely at the BMW Z4, Porsche Boxster and Mercedes SLK.
BMW, Mercedes consider return to 4-bangers in U.S. market

BMW stopped offering four-cylinders in 1999 when its 318ti hatchback flopped. Mercedes-Benz had four-cylinder engines on the 2005 C230 and SLK230 but dropped them in favor of six-cylinder models.
