This is a new  R/H side cover that I found in a dealers closed shop that is new but has a few chips & scratches.. There are no dents or deep scratches item is in very good condition for it's age. Lotus chief executive Dany Bahar has laid bare the business position at Lotus Cars since the takeover of parent company Proton by Malaysia's DRB-Hicom. Norfolk's sports car maker has been buffeted by rumours of financial crisis and looming collapse since development was frozen by the new owners (click here for our coverage of the crisis at Lotus. CAR scored an interview with Bahar at the Hethel headquarters yesterday afternoon. He was abroad at the time of last week's media maelstrom, when rumours and slurs flew around about the state of Lotus's finances.

The Toyota Auris Hybrid, which will debut at Frankfurt The Auris Hybrid will be the first Toyota Hybrid to be built in Europe – at Toyota’s UK plant. Scheduled to go on sale in the second half of 2010, the Auris hybrid utilises the same powertrain as the third-gen Prius, namely a 1.8 litre, 97bhp petrol engine with a bank of nickel-metal hydride batteries and an electric motor. This will give the Auris Hybrid a 0-60 mph time of around 10 seconds and emissions below the critical 100g/km (not 99g/km, by any chance?).

The resignation of Henrik Fisker in March from the eponymous company he worked so hard to build in to a credible ‘Green’ car company precipitated the meltdown of Fisker, which now stands on the edge of bankruptcy over $171 million owed to the US government. But Henrik Fisker has a plan. He’s teamed up with Hong Kong billionaire Richard Li – a Fisker investor – to try and buy the US government debt and save Fisker from being crushed by bankruptcy.
